![]() ![]() I followed the directions, I placed 5-10 drops in my left ear and tilted my head, sat there uncomfortably as I heard it bubbling in my ear, then I let the product drain out from my ear. My ear wasn’t completely clogged, but I could tell it was starting to head in that direction. I had my ears cleaned out at a local clinic, but the wax in my ears comes back very quickly so I decided to give this product another try. I think the reason for that is because my ears were already too impacted for this product to work. "So like everyone else, I had temporary hearing loss when I first tried to use this product. Obviously I threw away the rest of the bottle!" I did that and got back to normal pretty fast, within a week. She tried to remove the wax with a tool but that made me cough, so instead she advised me to put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in my ear every other day while the problem lasted, which would help the soft, sticky earwax dry and flake out on its own. She said the softened earwax had plastered itself against the inside of my ear in such a way as to muffle sound. Eventually one time I continued having quite poor hearing in one ear for several days after using it, so I made an appointment to see my doctor. Never got any noticeable benefit, and ears would temporarily feel extra clogged up after use. I used it as directed multiple times over a period of months, rinsing with the included bulb each time. I should have asked her what problem we were trying to solve before following her advice. "My doctor recommended this, though my earwax was not causing me any problems. ![]() ![]() If none of this works at home, then see your primary care physician, and they should be able to use a pick or curette to remove the impaction. Also, putting equal parts water and hydrogen peroxide together prior to flushing helps as well. These systems allow a more directional and focused flow of water. And have someone do the irrigation for you. One is better served by investing in a home ear irrigation system-especially if this is a regular problem. Having said that, I feel the bulb syringe is pretty much useless, it just indiscriminately sprays water into your ear canal and may or may not have an impact on the cerumen (ear wax). However, I will say that used as directed, twice daily-this treatment will work. I will not argue anyone's previous points or experiences, because they are all unique to the individual. "I have been a nurse for nearly 20 years and have frequently had to use this product on clients. ![]()
